Historic Cemetery Tour

  • Summerland Museum and Archives 9521 Wharton Street Summerland, BC, V0H 1Z0 Canada (map)

The Summerland Museum and Archives Society and the Okanagan Historical Society are pleased to host guided tours of Summerland's Peach Orchard Cemetery this autumn!

This year we will be hosting two tours:

Friday, October 31st at 2:00pm

Saturday, November 1st at 2:00pm

The Peach Orchard Cemetery is one of Summerland's oldest cemeteries, providing the perfect setting to get into the Halloween spirit! Join us as our tour guides recount spooky, strange, and incredible tales from Summerland's past. Participants will hear the tragic story of the "Home of the Friendless", thrilling accounts from a WWII aircraft navigator, ghost sightings in our heritage homes, and more.

Tickets are $20/person or $15/person for SMAS members

Accessibility notes: The Peach Orchard Cemetery is set into a hillside with uneven ground. It is not easily accessible for people in wheelchairs or using other mobility devices. We do not recommend this tour for people with trouble walking. There is no restroom at the cemetery. The weather is often chilly, so please dress for the weather. In the event of rain or extreme weather, tours may be rescheduled.

Don't hesitate to get your tickets early - these tours typically sell out! To secure your tickets:
