Exhibit Tour: Past, Present and Future of Our Museum

  • Summerland Museum and Archives 9521 Wharton Street Summerland, BC, V0H 1Z0 Canada (map)

Join us at 2pm on Saturday, January 24th, for a special guided tour of the museum with Curator Petra Höller. During this tour, we will look at the museum’s exhibits through the lens of “the past, present, and future of our museum”. Learn about the prior locations of our museum at the old arena and the West Summerland Train Station, as well as the efforts to obtain our current, purpose-built facility in the early 1980s. We’ll talk about the evolution of our exhibits, as well as some of the iconic artifacts that have delighted generations of visitors. Plus, our Curator will provide insights into our plans to expand the museum and the many considerations that have gone into planning our new facility.

This special tour is the first in an ongoing series of thematic tours of the museum’s exhibits. Watch for upcoming announcements of future tours!

Participation in this event is by donation. To RSVP, please email info@summerlandmuseum.org.
