Capture the essence of nature, sustainability, and environmental conservation through your lens and enter for your chance to win one of 3 prize baskets!

🌿 How to Participate:

1. Take a photo that showcases the natural beauty of Summerland- from a sunset, flowers, the animals you see wandering around the town, or anything in between!
2. Submit your photo by April 20th by clicking here or on the button below.
3. Check our Facebook page on April 21st and start sharing your photo! The photo with the most likes by April 26th within its category will be crowned the Earth Day winner!

Voting will take place April 21st through April 26th.
Winner to be announced April 27th, 2024.

🌍 Rules:

  • Location: Photos must be taken in the community of Summerland (including Trout Creek, Faulder, Meadow Valley, Bathfield, Agur Lake, Bald Range, and Darke Lake). Photos taken outside of Summerland will be disqualified from entry.

  • Number of Entries: Participants may submit a maximum of two (2) entries.

  • Copyright: You must own all rights to your photo that you submit. Contestants retain the copyright to their submissions. However, by entering the contest, they grant the Summerland Museum the right to use their photos for promotional purposes.

  • Editing: Basic editing, such as color correction and cropping, is allowed. However, excessive manipulation that alters the integrity of the photo is not permitted.

  • Permission: By submitting an entry, contestants grant permission for their photos to be used for promotional purposes related to the contest.

  • Prizes: Winners must pick up their prizes physically from the Summerland Museum.
